Mesquite Software Announces Availability of CSIM for Java Software
AUSTIN, TX - April 17, 2006 - Mesquite Software announces the availability of its
time-tested CSIM software for the Java platform. For more than 20 years, CSIM has
been helping C and C++ programmers around the world build fast, efficient
discrete-event simulations. As the Java (reg. Sun Microsystems, Inc.) programming
language continues to grow in popularity, Mesquite is pleased to offer CSIM for
Java, a fully featured simulation toolkit. CSIM for Java allows Java programmers to
write and rapidly execute simulation models in their preferred programming
environment, on any Java-supported platform.
CSIM for Java allows Java programmers to quickly and easily create process-oriented,
discrete-event simulation models of complex systems. Written in Java, a CSIM for
Java model offers the unparalleled flexibility and time savings of working with a
standard programming language. Standard IDEs such as Eclipse and NetBeans can be
used to create CSIM for Java models.
Beta testers of CSIM for Java have been pleased with the product. Andrew Moore, a
software engineer at Systemflow Simulations, Inc., commented, "We work with a number
of simulation tools to create high-fidelity simulations for our clients. CSIM for
Java is an excellent tool for discrete event simulation modeling. The productivity
of the Java programming language and the modeling environment of CSIM for Java make
it a valuable addition to our modeling tool set."
CSIM for Java delivers the same features that have established the original CSIM
package as the premier programmer's tool for C/C++-based discrete event simulations.
Multiple simulation objects are pre-built, including facilities, storages, events,
and mailboxes; and each object automatically collects usage and queuing data.
In addition, the software contains extensive random number functions and numerous
structures for collecting and summarizing data, such as tables, qtables, meters,
and boxes. CSIM for Java capitalizes on Java's platform independence; the package
can run on any system with a Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
"Java is language of choice for web developers, and our customers have been asking
for a Java version of CSIM for several years. We are thrilled that we can now
satisfy this demand with CSIM for Java," said Nan Schwetman, Mesquite Software's
President.
CSIM for Java can be purchased from Mesquite Software's website or by calling them
directly. Product information and the full documentation set are available on the
Mesquite website at www.mesquite.com.
About Mesquite
Mesquite software was founded in 1994 by Dr. Herb Schwetman to support and sell the
CSIM developer's toolkit for large-scale, complex discrete event simulations. A
veteran of system modeling and simulation research, Dr. Schwetman developed the
original CSIM software at MCC in 1985 and has been adding features and functionality
for the last 20 years. A process-oriented, general-purpose simulation tool, CSIM 19
and new CSIM for Java software allows programmers to create models that simulate
complex systems and offer insight into the systems' dynamic behaviors. CSIM is now
used worldwide by companies and educational institutions to understand system
operations, predict behavior, and determine best possible configurations so that
system designers can make cost-effective decisions and create better products.
